War Sails
Ship Creation
1. Introduction 1.1. Purpose of the Documentation This documentation is a comprehensive, end-to-end guide for creating and integrating custom ships into the game. It is written for mod authors who want to add fully functional ships to Bannerlord’s naval system. You do not need to be a programmer to follow this guide, but you should be comfortable working inside the Bannerlord editor and understand the basic concepts of entities, prefabs, and scripts.
War Sails World Map
Creating or modifying the War Sails world map involves a few additional requirements compared to Bannerlord. They are listed below. Navmesh With the War Sails DLC, many bodies of water become navigable, introducing several new navmesh types beyond those used in the base game. When creating or modifying a War Sails world map, you may need to use the following navmesh types: CoastalSea OpenSea River NonNavigableRiver
What Makes a Seaborne Raid Scene
Navigation Mesh Works similarly to village scenes. In scenes created using two separate levels, for the land_raid Level (check “What Makes a Village Scene” documentation), all NavMesh on land must have ID 0 in the naval_raid Level. Agents can walk in water up to a height of 1.40 meters. Therefore, NavMesh with ID 0 should be baked up to a depth of 1.40m; if the water is deeper, Agents will swim.
